Description
b.safe waste tube is a cut length of flexible corrugated hose made from conductive PTFE-EX, with spiral geometry on both the inner and outer surfaces. The assembly is supplied at 600 mm length with an approximate inner diameter of 13,5 mm and outer diameter of 18 mm, finished for GL25 female connection. Two b.safe screw fittings for waste tube are included unmounted so the hose can be shortened on site to the required installation length; they are screwed into the spiral wall with the supplied hex key to create a reliable transition to GL25 threads on bench feed-throughs, waste caps or similar b.safe interfaces. A hose holder for wall mounting is also part of the set. From manufacturer Bohlender, this waste tube supports safe routing of laboratory waste streams where electrostatic dissipation and chemical resistance of PTFE-EX are required. The corrugated construction remains flexible for routing while the spiral fittings lock mechanically into the hose wall. Net weight is 0,297 kg. Ideal for HPLC and solvent waste collection layouts that standardise on GL25 connections.
This article is part of Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, in Waste disposal.

Questions about b.safe Waste Tube, L 600mm, Ø 13,5x18mm, GL25 (f) corrugated tubing Ø 13,5x18 mm
What is this article?
b.safe Waste Tube, L 600mm, Ø 13,5x18mm, GL25 (f) corrugated tubing Ø 13,5x18 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, inside Waste disposal, in Lab safety equipment.
A solvent waste cap and a safety funnel close a waste can so vapour does not fill the room, while still letting waste be poured in. The thread has to match the can. A filter and a level indicator are common features. An open beaker of waste solvent is not this article.
Laboratory waste is sorted before it is carried away. A solvent waste can has a cap and often a funnel that limits vapour. A sharps container is rigid and closable. An autoclave bag is for material that will be sterilised before it is ordinary waste. The container has to survive the chemical that goes into it. A bag that dissolves is not a container. Classification of the chemicals is on ECHA. Transport of dangerous goods is the UNECE framework. Workplace practice is EU-OSHA.
