Description

Centrifuge 5427 R (EU-IVD) is a refrigerated benchtop centrifuge with rotary knobs, supplied with rotor FA-45-48-11 for 230 V/50–60 Hz (EU) operation. It is intended for separation of liquid substance mixtures from the human body and for use as an accessory with an in-vitro diagnostic device in line with that device’s intended purpose, conforming to EU IVDR 2017/746. Cooling employs the natural refrigerant R290. Rotor capacity is 48 × 1,5/2,0 mL or 12 × 5,0 mL; the Eppendorf QuickLock® rotor supports fast, ergonomic lid closure. Maximum speed reaches 25.001 × g (16,220 rpm). The 48-place rotor capacity raises throughput and saves time in daily workflows. Temperature control spans −11 °C to 40 °C, and FastTemp pre-cools from about 23 °C to 4 °C in only 11 minutes. Soft-touch lid locking, an integrated condensate drain, automatic rotor and imbalance detection, and programmable ECO shut-off after 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours of inactivity support safe, efficient use. ACT certification provides independent sustainability validation by My Green Lab. This unit from manufacturer Eppendorf is for indoor use by trained personnel and is supplied as 1 pc.

What is this article?

Centr. 5427R+Rotor48 230V/50-60Hz is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Eppendorf for laboratory use. It sits in Rotors, inside Centrifuges, in Lab instruments.

A centrifuge rotor is the rotating part that holds the tubes, and it is rated for a maximum speed and a maximum load. A swing-out rotor and a fixed-angle rotor pellet differently. A rotor from another centrifuge does not belong on this drive, even when it seems to fit.

A centrifuge separates by density. The rotor spins the sample and the force is reported as a multiple of gravity, not as a raw speed, because the same revolutions per minute are a different force at a different radius. A microcentrifuge takes small tubes. A benchtop or floor model takes larger rotors. The tube, the adapter and the rotor have to be the combination the manufacturer rated. An unbalanced load is how centrifuges fail. Measurement of the related quantities sits with the BIPM.
