Description

Centrifuge 5427 R G is a refrigerated laboratory centrifuge for 230 V/50–60 Hz (EU) operation, configured with rotary knobs, delivered without rotor, and intended for productive routine sample processing. Cooling uses the natural refrigerant R290 to help protect samples and reduce environmental burden. Compatible rotor capacity covers 48 × 1,5/2,0 mL or 12 × 5,0 mL formats, with Eppendorf QuickLock® rotors supporting fast, ergonomic lid closure. Maximum speed reaches 25,001 × g (16,220 rpm). The 48-place rotor capacity markedly increases throughput and saves valuable time in high-volume workflows. Soft-touch lid locking enables comfortable daily handling, while the working temperature range extends from −11 °C to 40 °C. FastTemp provides rapid pre-cooling—for example from about 23 °C to 4 °C in only 11 minutes. A programmable ECO shut-off after 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours of inactivity helps extend compressor life and lower energy consumption. An integrated condensate drain reduces water build-up, and automatic rotor plus imbalance detection supports safe operation. This ACT-certified model from manufacturer Eppendorf carries independent sustainability validation by My Green Lab. Pack size is 1 pc; net weight 31 kg.

Questions about Centrifuge 5427 R G 230V/50-60Hz

What is this article?

Centrifuge 5427 R G 230V/50-60Hz is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Eppendorf for laboratory use. It sits in Benchtop & floor-standing centrifuges, inside Centrifuges, in Lab instruments.

A benchtop centrifuge sits on the bench and takes the ordinary tube rotors. A floor-standing model takes larger rotors and higher forces. Capacity, maximum force and which rotors are sold for it are the specification. Refrigeration is a separate choice, for samples that cannot warm.

A centrifuge separates by density. The rotor spins the sample and the force is reported as a multiple of gravity, not as a raw speed, because the same revolutions per minute are a different force at a different radius. A microcentrifuge takes small tubes. A benchtop or floor model takes larger rotors. The tube, the adapter and the rotor have to be the combination the manufacturer rated. An unbalanced load is how centrifuges fail. Measurement of the related quantities sits with the BIPM.
