Description
Chamber furnace ELF 11/23B with basic controller E301 is an economy laboratory chamber furnace for a maximum temperature of 1100 °C and a chamber volume of 23 l. Internal chamber dimensions are 235 × 255 × 400 mm (H × W × D), with external dimensions of 715 × 505 × 660 mm (H × W × D). Vacuum-formed fibre insulation with embedded heating elements, an abrasion-resistant floor plate and an exhaust chimney enable short heat-up times and effective venting during ashing, combustion and heat-treatment work. The furnace uses a PID controller with one ramp to setpoint and a 99-hour timer programmable as delayed start or countdown. Electrical supply is 400 V, two phases with earth and neutral, 50 Hz, 5 kW, drawing two phases of a three-phase-and-neutral supply. Optional CC-T1 touchscreen control and digital over-temperature protection are available. This larger-capacity model from manufacturer Carbolite Gero fits laboratory muffle and chamber-furnace applications that need greater working volume with simple, reliable temperature control.
This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Chamber Furnace ELF 11/23B Basisregler E301
What is this article?
Chamber Furnace ELF 11/23B Basisregler E301 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carbolite Gero for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
