Description

DB 3.3 single block for reaction-vessel combination is designed for concurrent tempering of 0,5 ml, 1,5 ml and 2,0 ml microcentrifuge or reaction tubes. It features six bores of Ø 7,9 mm, ten bores of Ø 11,1 mm and five bores of Ø 11,5 mm, with bore depths of 27,6 mm, 39,1 mm and 38,1 mm respectively, matching the geometry of common small-volume plastic vessels. External dimensions are 95 × 76 × 51 mm (W × D × H), providing a compact module for dry-block thermostats. Net weight is 0,817 kg. The multi-format layout from manufacturer IKA belongs to the accessories range for thermostating devices and enables high-throughput work with mixed micro-tube sizes in a single block. Differentiated bore depths promote secure seating and reproducible thermal contact. Supplied as one piece, the DB 3.3 is well suited to molecular biology, enzyme assays and general laboratory protocols that require simultaneous temperature control of 0,5 ml, 1,5 ml and 2 ml reaction vessels without block exchange.

This article is part of Heating & cooling (other), in Heating, drying & cooling.

What is this article?

DB 3.3, Single block, microtube comb., 0.5/1.5/2 ml is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Heating & cooling (other), inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

This shelf holds heating and cooling equipment that is not a furnace, a mantle, a bath, an oven or an incubator. The question is still the range, the stability and what the heat actually touches.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
