Description

The digital block thermostat with shaking DLAB HCM100-Pro combines precise temperature control and mixing to support reproducible molecular and cell-biology workflows. Typical applications include gene synthesis and purification, protein and gene denaturation, enzymatic reactions and bacterial growth. Shaking frequency is adjustable from 200 to 1500 min⁻¹ with a maximum amplitude of 3 mm. Heating reaches 100 °C at 5,5 °C/min; cooling extends to ambient minus 15 °C at 5 °C/min, or 0,5 °C/min below room temperature. Temperature control accuracy and uniformity are each ±0,5 °C. Up to nine programmes can be stored, and overheating protection is set at 150 °C. The unit accepts a wide range of tubes and includes block DTBW-A02-001; further blocks are not supplied. Compact dimensions of 200 x 235 x 120 mm and a weight of 7,3 kg suit bench-top use. Electrical rating is 200–240 V / 50–60 Hz, 200 W, with a two-year warranty from manufacturer Labbox.

Questions about Digital thermostatic block with shaking, DLAB HCM100-Pro, EU plug

What is this article?

Digital thermostatic block with shaking, DLAB HCM100-Pro, EU plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Hot plates & heating blocks, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A hot plate heats a flat-bottom vessel from below, often with stirring. A heating block holds tubes in machined holes so each tube sees the same temperature. The block's hole diameter has to match the tube, or the heat never arrives.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
