Description
DURAN® Erlenmeyer flask, narrow neck, 5000 ml is a large-capacity laboratory conical flask manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3. The 5 l nominal volume and narrow neck support cultivation, storage and transport, mixing of multiple components, heating, dilution of solutions and measurement of liquid quantities. Its conical form aids thorough mixing, and a clearly readable graduated scale with line division enables practical volume estimation. The white graduation is fired into the glass and remains permanently durable. Very good chemical resistance, nearly inert behaviour and a high service temperature predestine these original DURAN® Erlenmeyer flasks from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. Thanks to uniform wall-thickness distribution they exhibit minimal thermal expansion and correspondingly high resistance to temperature change, making them especially suitable for work at very high temperatures and rapid thermal cycling. Pack size 1 pc, net weight 1,18 kg.

Questions about DURAN® Erlenmeyer Flask, narrow neck
What is this article?
DURAN® Erlenmeyer Flask, narrow neck is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Erlenmeyer flasks, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.
An Erlenmeyer, or conical, flask has a flat base and a narrowing wall so a liquid can be swirled. It is the ordinary culture and titration flask. A baffled wall is a different article, used when the swirl must turn the liquid over.
A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
Which category should I open next?
