The robust wall thickness renders the flask vacuum-resistant and suitable for safe work under reduced pressure. Vacuum is applied through a side connection available as tubulature, glass olive or plastic olive; the wide neck opening accepts a rubber sleeve together with a filter funnel or Büchner funnel. Volumes above 2000 ml are supplied in stable bottle form rather than Erlenmeyer shape. Interchangeable plastic olives allow flexible tubing connections, while the permanently fired white print remains legible throughout laboratory use.
