Description
Nalgene Erlenmeyer flask with screw closure, 250 ml, combines the outstanding chemical resistance of FEP with the convenience of a screw cap. The vessel is made from chemically resistant polyfluoroethylenepropylene (FEP) with a Tefzel™ ETFE screw closure, is practically unbreakable, almost completely transparent, non-contaminating and resistant to nearly all chemicals. It is autoclavable; before autoclaving, fully separate threaded connections or remove the closure. For work with trace elements, chemical sterilisation or boiling out with concentrated nitric acid is appropriate. Temperature resistance spans −270 °C to +205 °C for the flask and −100 °C to +150 °C for the closure. With a 38 mm closure and a nominal volume of 250 ml (8 oz), this Erlenmeyer flask with screw closure is offered as a case of 4 from manufacturer Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics. Gross weight is 0,635 kg. The design supports demanding laboratory handling where chemical inertness, clarity and mechanical robustness are required for media work and general wet-chemistry use.

Questions about FLASK ERL SCRW CLS FEP;250ML
What is this article?
FLASK ERL SCRW CLS FEP;250ML is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Erlenmeyer flasks, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.
An Erlenmeyer, or conical, flask has a flat base and a narrowing wall so a liquid can be swirled. It is the ordinary culture and titration flask. A baffled wall is a different article, used when the swirl must turn the liquid over.
A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
