Description

Freeze dryer Alpha 1-4 LSCbasic (LyoCube Package I) is a compact benchtop lyophilisation system for daily high-quality freeze drying in research and routine laboratories. The package centres on the Alpha 1-4 LSCbasic unit combined with an acrylic-glass LyoCube drying chamber that gives a clear view of the product and simplifies front loading. Ice condenser capacity reaches max. 4 kg with a performance of max. 3 kg/24 h and an ice condenser temperature of approximately –55 °C, matching typical small-batch laboratory workloads. Ice condenser, chamber and drain valve are stainless steel for durability. Hot-gas defrost shortens downtime between runs. The LSCbasic controller provides intuitive touchscreen access to process data, multilingual menus, graphical display, password protection and maintenance-interval indication. LyoCube Package I includes the freeze dryer, LyoCube acrylic chamber, three unheated shelves, electromagnetic pressure-control valve, VCP 63 vacuum sensor, vacuum hose and an 8 m³/h vacuum pump. External dimensions are 390 × 415 × 540 mm with a weight of approximately 42 kg; electrical connection is 230 V / 50 Hz at 0,8 kVA, using a natural refrigerant. From manufacturer Christ, the system is configured as a complete ready-to-run package for everyday laboratory freeze drying.

Questions about Freeze dryer Alpha 1-4 LSCbasic (LyoCube Package I)

What is this article?

Freeze dryer Alpha 1-4 LSCbasic (LyoCube Package I) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Christ for laboratory use. It sits in Drying ovens & climate chambers, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A drying oven holds a temperature above ambient to drive off water or to condition a sample. A climate chamber also holds humidity. Uniformity across the chamber, not only the set point, decides whether two samples on different shelves saw the same conditions.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
