Description

Heating tapes WHM 13 mm x 3,0 m are flexible laboratory heating elements for controlled surface heating of vessels, tubing and apparatus. Measuring 13 mm in width and 3,0 m in length, each tape delivers 400 W and is rated for a heating conductor temperature of up to 250 °C. The outer sheath consists of glass silk, providing thermal resistance and mechanical protection during regular laboratory use. Units come complete with a plug and operate from a 230 V, 50/60 Hz supply. These WHM heating tapes from manufacturer Witeg are supplied only for use with a WHM-C10A analogue controller or a WHM-C10D digital controller, which enable the required temperature regulation. The narrow 13 mm profile promotes close contact on curved surfaces, and the glass-silk mantle withstands elevated operating temperatures. Well suited to research and analytical workflows needing uniform heat transfer along pipes, flasks or process lines, the tape is offered as a single piece ready for connection once paired with the matching controller.

Questions about Heating Tape WHM 13mmx3,0m

What is this article?

Heating Tape WHM 13mmx3,0m is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Witeg for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
