Description
Incubator IN30plus is a natural-convection laboratory incubator offering a 32 l stainless-steel interior for incubation from at least 5 °C above room temperature up to +80 °C, with a settable range of +20 °C to +80 °C. The appliance features TwinDISPLAY control, one grid shelf, an outer stainless-steel door and an inner glass door for convenient observation of the load. Exhaust air can be regulated electronically from 0 % to 100 % in 10 % steps. An Ethernet interface enables readout of protocol data, transfer of programmes and online logging, while a USB port on the ControlCOCKPIT accepts a USB stick for data handling. Multiple overtemperature protection and an integrated data logger with capacity for at least 10 years of records support routine laboratory documentation. Up to three calibration values can be set on the ControlCOCKPIT, and a factory calibration certificate for +37 °C is included. Housing dimensions of the structural stainless-steel enclosure from manufacturer Memmert are 585 × 704 × 434 mm; the stainless-steel interior measures 400 × 320 × 250 mm. Supply voltage is 230 V, 50/60 Hz, maximum power consumption is approximately 1600 W, and net weight is 48 kg.
This article is part of Incubators, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Incubator IN30plus, 32l, 20-80°C
What is this article?
Incubator IN30plus, 32l, 20-80°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Memmert for laboratory use. It sits in Incubators, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
An incubator holds the mild, even temperature a culture needs, often 25 °C or 37 °C, sometimes with carbon dioxide. It is not a drying oven. Uniformity and, for cells, the gas control are the specification. A flask of cells in a drying oven is a dead flask.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
