Description
Ceramic chamber furnace 12 L 900°C is a high-precision electric ceramic furnace intended for hardening, solution annealing, normalising and other thermal processing procedures up to 900 °C. It features a solid ceramic chamber with heating elements mounted in four walls, a side-opening door with safety switch and a control panel located in the lower section of the unit. Usable chamber volume is 12 l, with internal dimensions of 215 mm width, 295 mm depth and 195 mm height. An optional exhaust chimney can be fitted to prevent process gases from entering the room during heat treatment. Temperature is regulated by a microprocessor controller (Omron E5CC basic model), delivering stability of ±1 °C and uniformity of ±10 °C at nominal temperature after stabilisation without charge. Maximum heat-up time without load is 110 min. The furnace from manufacturer SnolTherm offers low power consumption, high-temperature resistance and high accuracy, making it suitable for scientific laboratories, educational institutions, medical facilities and industry. External dimensions are 640 mm × 745 mm × 820 mm; net weight is 120 kg. Power rating is 4 kW at 230 V, 50 Hz, single-phase, protection class IP20.
This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Keramik - Kammerofen 12 L 900°C
What is this article?
Keramik - Kammerofen 12 L 900°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes SnolTherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
