Description
Ceramic chamber furnace 4 L 1200 °C is a high-precision electric ceramic furnace intended for hardening, annealing, normalising and other thermal processing procedures up to a maximum temperature of 1200 °C. The solid ceramic chamber houses heating coils seated in grooves on all four walls, ensuring efficient heat transfer. A ceramic base plate, side-opening door with safety switch and control panel located in the lower furnace section complete the practical layout. Temperature is regulated by a microprocessor controller (Omron E5CC basic model), delivering stability of ±2 °C and uniformity of ±10 °C in the working chamber after equilibration without load. Maximum heat-up time without charge is 110 minutes. An optional exhaust chimney can be fitted to keep process gases from entering the room. With a usable volume of 4 l, chamber dimensions of 120 mm width × 295 mm depth × 110 mm height, power rating of 3,7 kW at 230 V / 50 Hz single phase and external dimensions of 440 mm × 615 mm × 500 mm, this furnace from manufacturer SnolTherm is well suited to scientific laboratories, educational institutions, medical facilities and industrial environments. Net weight is 55 kg; protection class is IP20. Construction emphasises low power consumption and high-temperature resistance.
This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Keramik - Kammerofen 4 L 1200°C
What is this article?
Keramik - Kammerofen 4 L 1200°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes SnolTherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
