Description

KS 3000 i control S003 is an incubation shaker in an innovative design for unattended operation in a temperature-controlled environment, supplied with a Swiss plug. A large LED display presents speed and time settings, while the operating controls carry an antimicrobial coating that supports germ reduction in routine laboratory use. Integrated PID temperature regulation employs two PT 1000 temperature sensors; an internal connection socket inside the working chamber accepts an additional temperature probe such as the PT 1000.60 included with the unit. Temperature and speed are regulated electronically, and an electronic timer covers 0 – 999 h with minute or hour increments. The instrument switches off automatically in the event of a fault and stops when the hood is opened. A collecting tray with drain hose is fitted at the rear for convenient spill handling. Simple operation is complemented by full control and documentation of all functions via labworldsoft® software from manufacturer IKA. Attachments are not included in the scope of delivery and should be ordered separately to match the intended application. Net weight is 36,000 kg.

Questions about KS 3000 i control S003, Incubator shaker with Swiss plug

What is this article?

KS 3000 i control S003, Incubator shaker with Swiss plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Incubators, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

An incubator holds the mild, even temperature a culture needs, often 25 °C or 37 °C, sometimes with carbon dioxide. It is not a drying oven. Uniformity and, for cells, the gas control are the specification. A flask of cells in a drying oven is a dead flask.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
