Description

LabHEAT® housing heating mantle KM-MHB is a laboratory heating mantle for 1000 ml tall beakers with dimensions Ø 95 × 185 mm. It combines a flexible glass-silk heating body with an outer jacket made from a plastic-coated, chemical-resistant metal housing that includes built-in mains and heating-zone switches. The mantle offers a rated power of 400 W across two heating zones and a maximum heating-conductor temperature of 450 °C at a rated voltage of 230 V AC. Connection is provided by a 1,5 m mains lead with Schuko plug and integrated personal protection switch for enhanced electrical safety. With a net weight of 2,2 kg and gross weight of 2,7 kg, the unit is supplied as one piece. This LabHEAT® KM-MHB model from manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik is intended for even heating of tall-form beakers in chemical, analytical and preparative laboratory work where reliable surface contact and chemical resistance of the housing are required. Two heating zones allow flexible power distribution according to the process needs of the application.

Questions about LabHEAT® Metal-cased heating mantle KM-MHB, 1000 ml, 400 W / 230 V

What is this article?

LabHEAT® Metal-cased heating mantle KM-MHB, 1000 ml, 400 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
