Description

LabHEAT® Standard heating mantle KM-G is a laboratory heating mantle designed for 100 ml round-bottom flasks with a flask diameter of 64 mm. A flexible glass-silk heating body and glass-silk outer mantle provide even heat transfer at a rated power of 120 W in one heating zone. The maximum heating-conductor temperature is 450 °C, enabling reliable thermal work with medium-sized flasks in synthesis and sample preparation. Connection is via a 1,5 m mains cable with Schuko plug; an on/off switch and residual-current personal protection switch support safer everyday use at 230 V AC nominal voltage. This LabHEAT® KM-G unit from manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik suits standard laboratory heating tasks where open flames are undesirable. Net weight is 0,8 kg and gross weight 1,2 kg, supplied as a single piece. The defined volume, power and temperature limits make it a clear fit for controlled heating of 100 ml round-bottom flasks on the bench.

This article is part of Heating mantles, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about LabHEAT® Standard heating mantle KM-G, 100 ml, 120 W / 230 V

What is this article?

LabHEAT® Standard heating mantle KM-G, 100 ml, 120 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
