Description

LabHEAT® Standard heating mantle KM-GH is intended for 1,000 ml round-bottom flasks with a diameter of 131 mm. Its flexible heating body is manufactured from heat-resistant quartz glass yarn to enable higher power and temperature capability, while the outer mantle of glass silk incorporates a bottom hole of Ø 60 mm for practical flask seating. The mantle delivers a rated power of 750 W across two heating zones and supports a maximum heating-conductor temperature of 900 °C at a nominal voltage of 230 V AC. Electrical connection is provided by a 1,5 m mains lead with Schuko plug, together with a heating-zone switch and residual-current protective switch for safer operation. Offered as one piece with a net weight of 1,6 kg (gross 2,1 kg), this model from manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik is suited to distillation, reflux and general heating of larger round-bottom glassware in research and quality-control laboratories. The combination of quartz-yarn heating and glass-silk outer construction delivers robust thermal performance for daily laboratory use.

Questions about LabHEAT® Standard heating mantle KM-GH, 1000 ml, 750 W / 230 V

What is this article?

LabHEAT® Standard heating mantle KM-GH, 1000 ml, 750 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
