Description

LabHEAT® Standard heating mantle KM-GS is intended for 250 ml round-bottom flasks with a diameter of 85 mm and provides stable laboratory heating for medium-volume glassware. A flexible glass-silk heating body with a waterproof heating element sits beneath a glass-silk outer mantle, delivering uniform contact heat around the flask wall. Nominal power is 150 W in a single heating zone, with a maximum heating-conductor temperature of 450 °C for demanding thermal steps. Operation is at 230 V AC via a 1,5 m mains lead fitted with a Schuko plug, on/off switch and residual-current personal protection switch. Net weight is 1,0 kg and gross weight 1,4 kg, so the mantle remains manageable on crowded benches. Offered by manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik, the KM-GS series supports synthesis, solvent work-up and other flask-based heating applications that need a dedicated 250 ml format. Supplied as one piece per pack for clear inventory and installation planning.

This article is part of Heating mantles, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about LabHEAT® Standard heating mantle KM-GS, 250 ml, 150 W / 230 V

What is this article?

LabHEAT® Standard heating mantle KM-GS, 250 ml, 150 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
