The LAUDA Versafreeze VF 15085 is a compact laboratory ultra-low temperature freezer intended for long-term storage and quality assurance of organic substances and other materials. Its working range of −86 to −50 °C combines temperature constancy of ±2 K with homogeneity of 3 K at −86 °C in a 129 L usable chamber (interior 480 × 480 × 560 mm). The stainless-steel interior has one compartment protected by an insulated door against cold loss. A 4,3'' touchscreen enables convenient entry and retrieval of all safety-relevant values, with adjustable over- and under-temperature alarm limits and password-protected user management. Electronic alarm functions, a potential-free contact for site monitoring systems, battery buffering of display and alarms during power failure, and an integrated data logger support reliable oversight. Supplied from manufacturer Lauda, the unit uses tightly laid cooling coils for rapid pull-down and stable uniformity, together with an energy-saving, maintenance-free refrigeration plant running natural refrigerants R-290 and R-170. Vacuum insulation increases storage volume relative to footprint; two standard 13 mm feed-throughs accept control sensors, and a magnetic sealing system prevents gasket freeze-on.
