Description

Microhaematocrit capillary tubes 60 µl are non-heparinised glass capillaries designed for haematocrit measurement and associated in-vitro diagnostic procedures. Each tube has a length of approximately 75 mm ±0,5 mm, an inner diameter of 0,9–1,0 mm and an outer diameter of 1,3–1,4 mm, delivering a nominal fill volume of 60 µl. The product supports applications conforming to EU Regulation 2017/746 for in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR) and is supplied with CE marking, recommended expiry dating and batch coding to ensure complete information and traceability. Available from manufacturer Marienfeld, the capillaries are presented 100 pieces inside a dispenser tube with ten tubes per carton, facilitating orderly laboratory use and efficient stock management. The untreated glass construction is compatible with conventional sealing waxes or compounds and standard microhaematocrit centrifuges. Consistent bore dimensions promote uniform blood-column packing and accurate haematocrit readings after centrifugation, making these tubes a practical choice for routine clinical chemistry and research laboratories requiring reliable, non-heparinised capillaries.

This article is part of Microcentrifuges & mini centrifuges, in Centrifuges.

Questions about Microhaematocrit capillary tubes 60 µl,

What is this article?

Microhaematocrit capillary tubes 60 µl, is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microcentrifuges & mini centrifuges, inside Centrifuges, in Lab instruments.

A microcentrifuge spins 0.2 mL to 2 mL tubes at high force. A mini centrifuge is the small quick-spin for bringing a droplet down from a lid. They are not interchangeable with a 50 mL rotor. The lid lock is part of the safety of the instrument.

A centrifuge separates by density. The rotor spins the sample and the force is reported as a multiple of gravity, not as a raw speed, because the same revolutions per minute are a different force at a different radius. A microcentrifuge takes small tubes. A benchtop or floor model takes larger rotors. The tube, the adapter and the rotor have to be the combination the manufacturer rated. An unbalanced load is how centrifuges fail. Measurement of the related quantities sits with the BIPM.
