Description

Minisart® SRP25 syringe filter with chemically inert hydrophobic PTFE membrane is suitable for venting applications and for filtration of aggressive solvents across the pH range 1–14. The 0,2 µm pore-size version supports both sample preparation and sterile filtration and features a male slip outlet for secure syringe connection. With a 25 mm diameter, this non-sterile unit is supplied in packs of 500 pieces and may be sterilised by autoclaving or ethylene oxide when required. From manufacturer Sartorius, the Minisart® SRP design provides reliable chemical resistance and consistent performance in high-throughput laboratory environments. The polytetrafluoroethylene membrane ensures broad solvent compatibility, making the filter ideal for clarifying samples that contain organic solvents or corrosive media prior to analysis. Ready for immediate use after optional sterilisation, these filters help maintain sample integrity and protect downstream analytical systems while offering convenient handling for larger-volume filtration workflows.

This article is part of Syringe filters, in Filtration.

Questions about MinisartPTFE;0.2 µm;25mm;nsterile;50

What is this article?

MinisartPTFE;0.2 µm;25mm;nsterile;50 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Sartorius for laboratory use. It sits in Syringe filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A syringe filter is a membrane in a plastic housing on a Luer fitting. Pore size, membrane polymer and diameter are the three choices. 0.2 µm is the sterilising and the HPLC-particle cut. 0.45 µm is the coarser clarification. Aqueous and solvent-resistant membranes are different polymers.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
