Description

Muffle furnace L9/13/C550 is a compact high-temperature muffle furnace for laboratory work with a maximum working temperature of 1300 °C. Heating elements on support tubes radiate freely into the chamber, giving short heating times, two-sided heat input, and extended element life. Robust lightweight refractory brick insulation in a multi-layer build supports elevated application temperatures compared with the well-known L(T)./12 models. A dual-shell ventilated housing made from textured stainless steel sheets limits outer surface temperature and contributes to overall stability. This version features a flap door that can be used as a work platform together with a temperature selector limiter for additional thermal safeguarding. An adjustable air inlet in the door and an exhaust air outlet in the rear wall complete the basic airflow concept. Operation is managed via the B510 touch controller with five programs of four segments each; solid-state relays provide low-noise control, and NTLog Basic enables USB-based process data recording. Available as 1 pc from manufacturer Nabertherm for defined use in line with the operating instructions.

This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Muffle Furnace L9/13/C550 Tmax1300 with flap door and over-temperature limiter

What is this article?

Muffle Furnace L9/13/C550 Tmax1300 with flap door and over-temperature limiter is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Nabertherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
