Description
neoChoice HPLC syringe filter with glass fibre pre-filter is a 30 mm disposable filter unit with 0,2 µm nylon membrane for sample clarification before chromatographic work. The glass fibre pre-filter captures coarser particles upstream, helping to protect the main membrane from early blockage. Rim overmoulding strengthens pressure resistance of the housing and improves fixation of the membranes in the filter body. On-unit printing combined with colour coding lowers the chance of membrane mix-ups during routine use. Effective filter area is 4,91 cm² with an operating pressure of 620 kPa (6,2 bar / 90 psi). Connection layout is female Luer-Lock inlet and male Luer outlet. Nylon (PA) is hydrophilic and highly resistant when wet or dry, supporting aqueous and organic media including pharmaceutical applications. These purple filters from manufacturer neolab - Labor come in packs of 100 pieces for HPLC sample preparation and related laboratory filtration tasks that need a fine hydrophilic membrane.
This article is part of Syringe filters, in Filtration.

Questions about neoChoice HPLC-Spritzenfilter, Glasfaser-Vorfilter 30 mm, 0,2 µm, Nylon, lila, 1
What is this article?
neoChoice HPLC-Spritzenfilter, Glasfaser-Vorfilter 30 mm, 0,2 µm, Nylon, lila, 1 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes neolab for laboratory use. It sits in Syringe filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.
A syringe filter is a membrane in a plastic housing on a Luer fitting. Pore size, membrane polymer and diameter are the three choices. 0.2 µm is the sterilising and the HPLC-particle cut. 0.45 µm is the coarser clarification. Aqueous and solvent-resistant membranes are different polymers.
Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
