Description

Syringe filter MCE, pore 0,45 µm, Ø 13 mm, non-sterile is a disposable filtration device for clarifying and purifying aqueous laboratory samples. The hydrophilic mixed cellulose ester (MCE) membrane offers very uniform porosity together with high protein retention, making it suitable for filtration of biological samples and culture media as well as general clean-up of most aqueous solutions. A green polypropylene (PP) housing provides mechanical stability and is configured for FLL/MLS connections commonly used with laboratory syringes. Supplied non-sterile in packs of 100 pieces from manufacturer Labbox (BRANCHIA line), these 13 mm filters are practical for small-volume sample preparation ahead of instrumental analysis or further processing. The 0,45 µm pore rating supports removal of particulates and larger microorganisms from aqueous matrices. Net weight of the pack is 0,200 kg. Designed for purification workflows rather than sterile fill applications, the filters integrate easily into routine sample-handling steps in research, quality-control and life-science laboratories.

This article is part of Syringe filters, in Filtration.

Questions about Nonsterile MCE Syringe Filters, Pore: 0,45µm, Ø13mm, 100 pcs

What is this article?

Nonsterile MCE Syringe Filters, Pore: 0,45µm, Ø13mm, 100 pcs is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Syringe filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A syringe filter is a membrane in a plastic housing on a Luer fitting. Pore size, membrane polymer and diameter are the three choices. 0.2 µm is the sterilising and the HPLC-particle cut. 0.45 µm is the coarser clarification. Aqueous and solvent-resistant membranes are different polymers.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
