Description

OBL 137 transmitted light microscope, trinocular, set with camera, incl. eyecups and dust cover

Lab Line. Flexible and versatile transmitted light microscope (bright-field) with infinitely corrected optics. Specially designed for laboratories that work with translucent, low-contrast, challenging specimens (e.g. living mammalian cells, bacteria, tissues).

  • The infinity corrected optics ensure top-class image quality
  • The 4-slot lens revolver is fully equipped with four high-quality, infinitely corrected E-PLAN lenses (4x/10x/40x/100x) with improved edge definition
  • The 1.25 Abbe condenser with aperture cover, with its height-adjustable focus and fixed precentring, and the field diaphragm enable easier Köhler illumination and thereby provide simple and optimal illumination of the specimen, with no negative flare effects
  • The mechanical cross table ensures fast working and positioning of the specimen. It features a coaxial coarse and fine focus drive fitted on both sides for adjusting the height and focussing on the specimen
  • With strong, infinitely dimmable 3 W LED transmitted light illumination
Optional accessories (please order separately):
  • Dark field condenser to increase contrast of small, unstained structures
  • 100x lens (planachromatic, spring) with water immersion

The adapted ODC 825 microscope camera with USB 2.0 interface enables data transfer to a PC or laptop. The free KERN VIS software for operating systems Windows XP to Windows 10 enables the live image of the specimen to be transferred to the computer. The software includes a wide range of functions such as image and video recording, measuring functions and simple documentation. Connecting to a computer enables images including measurements to be saved and archived directly in the user-specific directory.

Delivery incl. ODC 825 microscope camera, colour filter (blue, integrated), eyecups and dust cover.

Questions about OBL 137 transmitted light microscope, trinocular, set with camera, 1 unit(s)

What is this article?

OBL 137 transmitted light microscope, trinocular, set with camera, 1 unit(s) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes KERN for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope objectives, eyepieces & optics, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

An objective makes the resolution. Magnification and numerical aperture are the two numbers, and the tube length or the infinity correction has to match the microscope. An eyepiece mostly enlarges the image the objective already resolved. A mismatched objective does not become sharper by zooming.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
