Description

PTFE-insulated heating tape MIL-HT-CN is a flexible heating element measuring 3,9 m in length with a rated power of 137 W at 230 V AC. The 8 × 4 mm tape incorporates a nickel-plated copper outer protective braid and splash-water protection, supporting durable performance in laboratory and industrial heating tasks. A bending radius greater than 15 mm permits installation around containers, pipes and complex geometries, while the maximum heating conductor temperature of 260 °C covers a broad application range. The unit arrives ready-configured with a 1,5 m connection lead without plug. Produced by ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik, the MIL-HT-CN series is intended for vessel and apparatus heating. Special lengths and alternative heating powers are available on request. Net weight is 0,4 kg.

What is this article?

PTFE insulated heating tape MIL-HT-CN, 3,9 m, 137 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating tapes, cables & plates, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating tape or cable wraps a tube, a valve or a vessel that has no mantle. Power per length and the maximum temperature are the specification. A tape overlapped on itself overheats. It needs a controller. Plugged straight in, it does not hold a set point.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
