Description

PTFE-insulated heating tape MIL-HT-CN is a flexible laboratory and process heating solution measuring 6,0 m in length with a rated power of 210 W at 230 V AC. Designed for reliable surface heating, the tape combines PTFE insulation with a nickel-plated copper outer protective braid that provides splash-water protection in demanding laboratory and industrial environments. Compact cross-section dimensions of 8 x 4 mm and a minimum bending radius greater than 15 mm allow the band to conform readily around pipes, vessels and apparatus. The maximum heating conductor temperature of 260 °C supports controlled thermal applications such as container heating and pipe tracing. Each unit is factory-finished with a 1,5 m connection cable without plug for straightforward installation. This MIL-HT-CN heating tape from manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik is supplied as a single piece with a net weight of 0,6 kg. Special lengths and other heating powers can be requested when standard configurations do not meet process requirements.

This article is part of Heating tapes, cables & plates, in Heating, drying & cooling.

What is this article?

PTFE insulated heating tape MIL-HT-CN, 6,0 m, 210 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating tapes, cables & plates, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating tape or cable wraps a tube, a valve or a vessel that has no mantle. Power per length and the maximum temperature are the specification. A tape overlapped on itself overheats. It needs a controller. Plugged straight in, it does not hold a set point.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
