Description

PTFE-insulated heating tape MIL-HT-PSG is a flexible laboratory and process heating element with a length of 14,0 m and nominal power of 570 W at 230 V AC. The construction combines PTFE insulation with an internal metal protective braid and external glass-silk braiding, delivering splash-water protection and robust mechanical stability. Cross-section measures 25 x 7 mm while the minimum bending radius remains greater than 20 mm, allowing installation around vessels, pipes or irregular surfaces. Maximum heating-conductor temperature is 260 °C. The tape is supplied fully assembled with a 1,5 m connection lead without plug for immediate use. Manufactured by ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik, this heating tape supports container and apparatus heating applications in research and production environments. Special lengths and alternative power ratings can be requested. Net weight is 2,8 kg, ensuring straightforward handling and mounting in laboratory or industrial setups that require reliable, evenly distributed heat.

What is this article?

PTFE insulated heating tape MIL-HT-PSG, 14,0 m, 570 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating tapes, cables & plates, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A heating tape or cable wraps a tube, a valve or a vessel that has no mantle. Power per length and the maximum temperature are the specification. A tape overlapped on itself overheats. It needs a controller. Plugged straight in, it does not hold a set point.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
