Description
PULVERISETTE 11 knife mill operating at 200–240 V, 50–60 Hz is a multifunctional laboratory mill that rapidly and gently comminutes and homogenises moist, oily, fatty, soft, medium-hard and fibrous samples to industrial quality. Suitable for food, agriculture, forestry, pharmacy and biology applications, it accepts a maximum feed size of 40 mm and a maximum sample volume of 1,300 ml, achieving a final fineness below 300 µm depending on the material. The mill runs at up to 10,000 rpm and is supplied with a 1,4 l autoclavable grinding vessel of transparent, scratch-resistant polycarbonate, a standard silicone lid and a standard stainless-steel knife. A practical PP reducing lid lowers the grinding-chamber volume to 0,54 l for cleaner processing of smaller batches. Quiet operation, programmable and storable methods, and optional 316L stainless-steel vessels or serrated knives complete the system. Dimensions are 32 × 43 × 48 cm with a net weight of 17,6 kg. This knife mill from manufacturer Fritsch delivers reproducible sample preparation for demanding laboratory workflows.

Questions about PULVERISETTE 11 Knife Mill 200 - 240V, 50 - 60 Hz
What is this article?
PULVERISETTE 11 Knife Mill 200 - 240V, 50 - 60 Hz is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Fritsch for laboratory use. It sits in Mills, grinders & homogenisers, inside Test sieves & mills, in Lab instruments.
A mill, grinder or homogeniser reduces particle size or breaks a tissue before an extraction. The rotor and the sieve insert decide the result. A knife mill and a bead mill are different machines. The sample has to tolerate the heat the motor puts into it.
A test sieve sorts particles by whether they pass an opening. Wire mesh and perforated plate are two ways of making that opening, and the nominal size is not a suggestion. A sieve shaker repeats the motion so the result does not depend on how hard someone shook by hand. A mill or grinder makes the particles smaller before they are sieved. The certificate of the sieve, and the opening size, are what an audit asks for. Measurement practice around mass and dimension sits with the BIPM, EURAMET and BELAC.
