Description

qpore® filtration unit PES, 250/500 ml, 0,1 µm, diameter 50 mm, is a sterile vacuum filtration system with a polyethersulfone membrane intended for sterile filtration of cell culture media, microbiological media, buffer solutions and related biological liquids. The 0,1 µm PES membrane combines very high flow rates with very low protein binding, making the unit well suited to sensitive media preparation. The complete assembly includes a graduated filter funnel with 0,1 µm PES membrane, vacuum connection, lid, 500 ml filtrate bottle and cap, so the sterile filtrate can be stored in the receiving bottle until needed. Green colour coding and a quick-connect fitting for tubing with 8–12 mm internal diameter speed connection to vacuum lines. Each unit is sterile, pyrogen-free and free of detergents, supplied individually sterile packed in packs of twelve with easy-open packaging. These filtration units from manufacturer neolab - Labor support reliable sterile media handling in research and production laboratories.

Questions about qpore® filtration unit PES, 250/500 ml, 0.1 µm diameter: 50 mm 12 pcs/pack

What is this article?

qpore® filtration unit PES, 250/500 ml, 0.1 µm diameter: 50 mm 12 pcs/pack is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes neolab for laboratory use. It sits in Bottle-top & vacuum filtration units, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A bottle-top filter or a vacuum filtration unit sits on a bottle and pulls a liquid through a membrane under vacuum. Pore size and membrane are the same choice as a syringe filter, at a larger area. A sterile unit is a stated claim. The bottle neck has to match.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
