Description

Qualitative folded filter paper for general laboratory use provides very fast filtration through a pore size of 25–30 μm. Made from long cotton fibres, this cellulose paper is designed for filtration of tough and viscous liquids and is characterised as very thick, resistant and the fastest qualitative filter in its class. Grammage is 130 g/m² with a thickness of 430 μm, while the maximum ash content is 0,06 %. Supplied as pre-folded filters of 110 mm diameter in packs of 100, the format is ready for funnel use and helps maintain an open filtration surface for high flow. The grade is equivalent to Whatman 114, supporting straightforward substitution in methods that already specify this very-fast qualitative performance. Applications include rapid clarification of viscous samples, coarse solids and general preparatory filtration where speed and mechanical durability are priorities. From manufacturer Labbox, the same fibre grade is also available as round filters, giving flexibility across setups. Pack net weight is 0,111 kg. These folded discs suit analytical, process-support and teaching laboratories that need consistent very-fast qualitative filtration with minimal preparation time.

Questions about Qualitative folded filter paper for general use, very fast flow rate, Ø110 mm, 1

What is this article?

Qualitative folded filter paper for general use, very fast flow rate, Ø110 mm, 1 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Filter paper, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

Filter paper is a cellulose sheet of a stated retention and speed. Qualitative paper clarifies. Quantitative, ashless paper is for a precipitate that will be weighed or ashed, because the paper itself leaves almost no ash. The diameter has to match the funnel.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
