Description
Savant™ SpeedVac™ SPD130DLX Integrated System Kit is a large-capacity modular vacuum concentration package for combinatorial chemistry applications involving strong acids, bases and aggressive organic solvents. The concentrator uses a deep PTFE-coated aluminium chamber, PTFE plumbing and tubing, a radiant glass safety cover for infrared-assisted drying, safety cover lock, lid-stay mechanism and a two-valve manifold with automatic bleeder valve. Programmable control offers three application presets and three user programs, time/temperature display with membrane touch pads, and drying from 35 °C to 80 °C in five-degree increments with manual or auto timed runs. Resistance covers TFA, DMSO and similar solvents; typical solvents include acetone, chloroform, ethyl acetate, hexane and methylene chloride. The kit from Thermo Scientific includes the SpeedVac concentrator, −105 °C ultra-low temperature refrigerated vapor trap, OFP400 oil-free ETFE/PFA four-headed pump, 64 × 1,5 mL rotor (RH64-11), digital vacuum gauge, chemical trap kit, tubing and fitting kit, glass condensation flask and 1 L CryoCool™ heat transfer fluid. Electrical supply is 230 V/50 Hz; UL listed and CE marked. Pack size is 1 pc.
This article is part of Benchtop & floor-standing centrifuges, in Centrifuges.

Questions about Savant™ SpeedVac™ Large Capacity Vacuum Concentrators for
What is this article?
Savant™ SpeedVac™ Large Capacity Vacuum Concentrators for is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Equipment LED for laboratory use. It sits in Benchtop & floor-standing centrifuges, inside Centrifuges, in Lab instruments.
A benchtop centrifuge sits on the bench and takes the ordinary tube rotors. A floor-standing model takes larger rotors and higher forces. Capacity, maximum force and which rotors are sold for it are the specification. Refrigeration is a separate choice, for samples that cannot warm.
A centrifuge separates by density. The rotor spins the sample and the force is reported as a multiple of gravity, not as a raw speed, because the same revolutions per minute are a different force at a different radius. A microcentrifuge takes small tubes. A benchtop or floor model takes larger rotors. The tube, the adapter and the rotor have to be the combination the manufacturer rated. An unbalanced load is how centrifuges fail. Measurement of the related quantities sits with the BIPM.
