Description
Sterile filter cartridge 10'', 0,2 µm is a pleated sterilising-grade filter element designed for reliable bacterial retention in laboratory and process water systems. The cartridge uses a double-asymmetric polyethersulfone (PES) membrane that is naturally hydrophilic, integrity-tested and specified for 99,99 % retention of Brevundimonas diminuta, with a stated bacterial challenge level of 10⁵. All components are thermally welded: the PES membrane is supported by polypropylene inner and outer cages, and materials are listed under FDA CFR Title 21 and USP Class VI. Chemical resistance covers the full pH range 1–14, extractables are low, and the open DOE end configuration supports straightforward housing installation. From manufacturer Evoqua Water Technologies, the 10'' element offers a filter area of 0,85 m², high flow capacity and extended service life. Maximum differential pressure is 5,5 bar at 24 °C (3,4 bar under the second stated condition), with a maximum operating temperature of 80 °C at 0,8 bar Δp. Typical water flow rates at 25 °C per 10'' cartridge are 16, 32, 48 and 80 L/min at 100, 200, 300 and 500 mbar respectively. Supplied as a single piece with a net weight of 0,335 kg.

Questions about STERILE FILTER CARTRIDGE 10'', 0.2µm
What is this article?
STERILE FILTER CARTRIDGE 10'', 0.2µm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Evoqua Water Technologies for laboratory use. It sits in Filter cartridges & capsules, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.
A cartridge or a capsule is a pleated filter for a larger volume than a syringe filter, often in a housing or as a disposable capsule. Pore size, membrane and the connection, hose barb or sanitary, are the specification. It is the filter of a transfer line, not of a single injection.
Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
