Description

Syringe filter Micropur with polyethersulfone (PES) membrane, 25 mm diameter and 0,20 µm pore size is a disposable syringe-tip filter for laboratory sample preparation and clarification. The PES membrane sits in a polypropylene (PP) housing that is ultrasonically welded for a secure seal. Inlet geometry is female Luer-Lock and the outlet is Luer Slip, matching common syringe interfaces used in analytical and quality-control workflows. Units are autoclavable and delivered as a pack of 100 pieces. High-quality filters from Germany by manufacturer Altmann Analytik; a certificate is available on request. The design is identical to Labhut part numbers TF42230-PS, TF42230-PSC, F2600-17 and F2600-17C, which helps method transfer and stock alignment. Typical use includes particulate removal and fine filtration of aqueous or PES-compatible solutions ahead of HPLC, spectroscopy or related laboratory steps where a 0,20 µm PES barrier is specified. Categories cover filter holders, disposable filter holders and sterile filtration accessories.

This article is part of Syringe filters, in Filtration.

Questions about Syringe Filter, Micropur, PES, 25 mm, 0,20 µm, PP housing

What is this article?

Syringe Filter, Micropur, PES, 25 mm, 0,20 µm, PP housing is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Altmann Analytik for laboratory use. It sits in Syringe filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A syringe filter is a membrane in a plastic housing on a Luer fitting. Pore size, membrane polymer and diameter are the three choices. 0.2 µm is the sterilising and the HPLC-particle cut. 0.45 µm is the coarser clarification. Aqueous and solvent-resistant membranes are different polymers.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
