Description

Syringe filter Micropur with polyethersulfone (PES) membrane, 25 mm diameter and 0,45 µm pore size is intended for routine laboratory filtration and sample clarification. The membrane is enclosed in a polypropylene (PP) housing that is ultrasonically welded to maintain filter integrity during use. A female Luer-Lock inlet and Luer Slip outlet provide standard syringe connectivity for analytical and preparative work. Filters are autoclavable and supplied in packs of 100 pieces. These high-quality syringe filters from Germany come from manufacturer Altmann Analytik, with a certificate available on request. The product is equivalent to Cronus part numbers FFPS2545-100, FFPS2545-1000, TF44530-PS, TF44530-PSC, F2600-14 and F2600-14C, supporting cross-reference and inventory continuity. Suitable applications include particulate reduction and general clarification of aqueous or PES-compatible media prior to instrumental analysis or further processing where a 0,45 µm PES membrane is required. Listed under filter holders, disposable filter holders and sterile filter categories.

This article is part of Syringe filters, in Filtration.

Questions about Syringe Filter, Micropur, PES, 25 mm, 0,45 µm, PP housing

What is this article?

Syringe Filter, Micropur, PES, 25 mm, 0,45 µm, PP housing is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Altmann Analytik for laboratory use. It sits in Syringe filters, inside Filtration, in Lab consumables.

A syringe filter is a membrane in a plastic housing on a Luer fitting. Pore size, membrane polymer and diameter are the three choices. 0.2 µm is the sterilising and the HPLC-particle cut. 0.45 µm is the coarser clarification. Aqueous and solvent-resistant membranes are different polymers.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
