Description
Tube furnace TF1 16/60/180 with EPC3016P1 PID controller is a horizontal laboratory tube furnace for high-temperature applications up to 1600 °C. Silicon carbide heating elements provide a heated length of 180 mm and accept work tubes with a maximum outer diameter of 60 mm. Compatible tube length is 680 mm under air atmosphere and 900 mm under protective gas. A homogeneous zone of 100 mm holds temperature uniformity of ±5 °C at 1500 °C. The furnace uses a type R thermocouple together with adjustable digital overtemperature protection and a separate thermocouple. Maximum power is 2,5 kW on a 230 V single-phase 50 Hz supply. The furnace body is supplied mounted on the control unit yet can be detached for bench use via a 2 m interconnecting cable. From manufacturer Carbolite Gero, the EPC3016P1 controller features 24 freely programmable segments, self-tuning, thermocouple-break protection, digital setpoint and actual-value display, up to two control tracks and an Ethernet port on the rear of the control housing. External dimensions including the control unit are 650 × 595 × 585 mm (H × W × D); weight is 43 kg. An appropriate air, protective-gas or vacuum work package must be ordered separately for operation.

Questions about Small single zone tube furnace 16/60/180 EPC3016P1 programmer
What is this article?
Small single zone tube furnace 16/60/180 EPC3016P1 programmer is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carbolite Gero for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
