Description
HRC 2 control is a compact refrigerated and heating circulator designed for precise temperature control of external closed or open applications. It covers a working temperature range from −30 °C to 100 °C and combines high energy efficiency with a powerful, continuously adjustable pressure and suction pump. A demand- and speed-controlled compressor reduces noise and operating costs while delivering 400 W cooling capacity. Heating power reaches 1500 W (1200 W at 115 V). The high-quality insulation of the 4 l bath reservoir supports fast heat-up times and limits heat input at low temperatures; up to 2,5 l of thermofluid is available for the external circuit without refilling. An integrated filling funnel and drain valve enable clean fluid handling, and a front flap allows convenient air-filter cleaning. The speed-controlled PEEK pump provides 0,5 bar and 22 l/min. Safety classification is III (FL) according to DIN 12876, with an adjustable temperature safety circuit and digital level indication. From manufacturer IKA, the unit is operated via the Wireless Controller (WiCo) and offers ten freely programmable temperature ramps with ten steps each, plus timer, degassing and confirmation mode. Interfaces include external PT100, Multi IO, RS 232 and USB.

Questions about HRC 2 control, Cooling and heating circulator
What is this article?
HRC 2 control, Cooling and heating circulator is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Circulators, chillers & thermostats, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A circulator or thermostat holds a bath liquid at a set temperature and pumps it through a jacket. A chiller is the same idea aimed below ambient. The temperature range, the cooling power and the pump flow are the three numbers. The fluid has to match the range.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
