Description

Macro cuvette type 100-OS is a precision optical cell made from optical special glass for spectrophotometric work over the wavelength range 320 nm to 2500 nm. It features a path length of 100 mm, a nominal fill volume of 0,035 l (35,000 µl) and a glass rebate lid for secure sample containment. Hellma® precision cuvettes are manufactured entirely in Germany and fit all common spectrophotometers. Highest path-length accuracy and parallelism ensure continuously reproducible measurement results. Thermally bonded rather than glued, the cuvette exhibits excellent resistance to temperature and chemicals and prevents unintended leakage of liquids. Selected optical special glass provides transmission greater than 80 % for exact readings. Chamfered edges enable safe, comfortable handling and minimise the risk of chipping. The cells can be cleaned and reused, offering a sustainable laboratory option. Produced under EN ISO 9001 / EN ISO 14001, this macro cuvette from manufacturer Hellma meets stringent optical standards for spectroscopy applications in research and routine analysis.

Questions about macro cell, 100

What is this article?

macro cell, 100 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.

A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
