Description
Macro cuvette type 110-QS is a precision spectroscopy cell made from high-performance quartz glass for the wavelength range 200 nm to 2500 nm. It offers a 5 mm optical path length and a nominal fill volume of 1750 µl (0,00175 l), closed with a PTFE stopper for secure sample handling on standard spectrophotometers. Path-length accuracy and window parallelism support continuously reproducible photometric results in routine and research laboratories. From manufacturer Hellma, the cuvettes are thermally bonded rather than glued, which gives high resistance to temperature and chemicals and helps prevent unwanted leakage. Selected high-performance quartz glasses provide excellent transmission greater than 82 % for exact measurement data. Chamfered edges improve safe, comfortable handling and reduce the risk of chipping. The cells can be cleaned and reused over long service lives, making them a durable, environmentally considerate choice. Production takes place entirely in Germany in accordance with EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001 and meets high optical standards; a declaration of conformity is available via the Hellma website. Quartz quality is designated by the registered trademark SUPRASIL®.

Questions about macro cell, 110
What is this article?
macro cell, 110 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.
A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
