Description

A 11.4 grinding beaker is a 250 ml useful-volume accessory intended for the A 11 basic analytical mill. Constructed from polyamide with a stainless-steel inlet (AISI 316L), the beaker expands the working capacity beyond the standard 80 ml chamber. It is designed exclusively for use with the double beater A 11.6 and is not suitable for cooling with liquid nitrogen. The component is not included in the standard delivery of the A 11 basic mill and is therefore ordered separately when larger sample volumes are required. Net weight is 0,313 kg. This durable grinding vessel from manufacturer IKA supports efficient batch processing of laboratory samples that demand increased chamber volume while remaining fully compatible with the A 11 series drive unit. Supplied as a single piece for straightforward integration into existing milling setups.

Questions about A 11.4, Grinding chamber, polycarbonate, 250 ml

What is this article?

A 11.4, Grinding chamber, polycarbonate, 250 ml is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Beakers, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.

A beaker is an open, straight-sided working vessel with a spout. It is for dissolving, heating and pouring. The graduations are a guide, not a volumetric calibration. Low form and tall form differ in stability and in how easily a liquid splashes.

A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
