Description
Electrode reference is a silver reference electrode mounted in a glass tube for use with the ElectraSyn 2.0 platform. The glass tube can be filled with a customer-selected reference-electrode solution, allowing the same hardware to serve as either an aqueous or a non-aqueous reference electrode. Supplied as a single piece, it forms the third electrode of a classic three-electrode cell when combined with a glassy-carbon working electrode and a suitable counter electrode. Net weight is approximately 0,002 kg with a gross weight of 0,044 kg; packaging dimensions are roughly 0,070 m in height and 0,003 m in width. Originating from the USA and offered by manufacturer IKA, this reference electrode is intended for cyclic voltammetry, electrosynthesis monitoring and related electrochemical measurements on ElectraSyn 2.0. It is also included in the complete CV electrode package and can be ordered separately for replacement or for building custom electrode configurations in the laboratory.
This article belongs on Titrators & electrochemistry systems, in pH & electrochemistry.

What is this article?
Electrode reference, Electrode for ElectraSyn 2.0, 1 pc. is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Titrators & electrochemistry systems, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.
A titrator adds a reagent and watches an electrode until an endpoint, then calculates the amount. It is a burette, a stirrer and a meter in one. The electrode and the reagent concentration still decide the result. A manual titration is the same chemistry without the automation.
A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
