Description
FL1201 under-bench recirculating cooler is a compact air-cooled laboratory chiller intended for a wide range of cooling duties while fitting neatly under the laboratory bench. The instrument uses a stainless-steel bath vessel and a centrifugal pump rated for continuous immersion operation. User controls include splash-proof membrane keypads and a large, bright LED temperature display, backed by microprocessor PID regulation for stable set-point control. Permissible return temperature reaches +80 °C; filling is straightforward and a front drain cock allows convenient emptying. Low-level protection warns optically and acoustically. Further practical details include integrated stainless-steel baths, no side ventilation slots so units may stand side by side, RS232 interface for PC connection, IP class 21 according to IEC 60529, and a potential-free alarm changeover contact (max. 30 VA). Supplied by manufacturer Julabo with two hose olives each for 8 mm and 12 mm internal-diameter hose on M16×1 pump connections, cooling performance is stated per DIN 12876 at 20 °C ambient. Net weight is 78,000 kg; origin is Germany.

Questions about FL1201 Recirculating cooler
What is this article?
FL1201 Recirculating cooler is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Julabo for laboratory use. It sits in Circulators, chillers & thermostats, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A circulator or thermostat holds a bath liquid at a set temperature and pumps it through a jacket. A chiller is the same idea aimed below ambient. The temperature range, the cooling power and the pump flow are the three numbers. The fluid has to match the range.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
