Description

Macro cuvette, type 404-QX is a precision spectroscopy cell manufactured from extended-range quartz glass for ultraviolet to near-infrared measurements. The optical path length is 1 mm and the usable wavelength range extends from 200 nm to 3500 nm, with a fill volume of 700 µl. Two PTFE stoppers are included to secure the sample and limit evaporation during measurement. Hellma precision cuvettes of this series are thermally bonded rather than glued, giving high resistance to temperature and chemicals while preventing leakage. Selected extended-range quartz delivers transmission greater than 83 percent for accurate photometric results. Chamfered edges improve handling safety and reduce the risk of chipping. The cuvette is fully reusable after cleaning and is manufactured in Germany to EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001 standards. It fits common spectrophotometers and supports reproducible absorbance and transmission work in analytical and research laboratories. Pack size is one piece.

Questions about macro cell, 404

What is this article?

macro cell, 404 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.

A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
