Description
Module block for vials 12 mm is a dry block heater accessory machined for 12 mm vials and related sample vessels in laboratory temperature-control workflows. Made of aluminium, it forms part of a modular system of anodised aluminium blocks for vessels, tubes, micro tubes, centrifuge tubes, PCR tubes, PCR strips and plates, microplates and cuvettes. Solid blocks can be used for slides or drilled to suit specific requirements. Baths are an ideal solution for holding many tubes of different sizes as well as irregularly shaped or unconventional samples. Silica supports more uniform temperature distribution, while stainless steel gravel contributes to faster temperature rise. The kit includes a PT100 RTD temperature sensor, a stand rod, a thermometer clamp and a socket connector; when precision is required, the sensor enables the instrument to display the current block or sample temperature. Supplied as 1 pc with a net weight of 1 kg, this module block from manufacturer Ohaus belongs to the industry’s most extensive modular-block range, offering more than 40 options for flexible laboratory setups.
This article is part of Heating & cooling (other), in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about Module Block For Vials 12 mm
What is this article?
Module Block For Vials 12 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Ohaus for laboratory use. It sits in Heating & cooling (other), inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
This shelf holds heating and cooling equipment that is not a furnace, a mantle, a bath, an oven or an incubator. The question is still the range, the stability and what the heat actually touches.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
