Description

testo 176 T1 temperature data logger is a single-channel instrument for high-precision continuous monitoring of ambient air temperature in cold stores, freezers and similar environments. An internal Pt100 sensor measures temperature with accuracy of up to 0,2 °C and documents values reliably over long periods. The large memory stores up to 2 million readings, while battery life of up to 8 years supports extended temperature control without frequent readout or battery changes. Its robust metal housing resists mechanical impacts such as those from forklift pallets, making the logger suitable for industrial use; protection class IP 68 provides full water and dust tightness. Measured data remain secure even when the battery is empty or being replaced. Certified by the TÜV Süd ATP testing body to DIN EN 12830 and HACCP-compliant, the unit from manufacturer Testo is appropriate for food-sector applications. Typical uses include monitoring and documentation of Programming and evaluation are carried out with ComSoft Basic (free download), ComSoft Professional or ComSoft CFR 21 Part 11; USB cable and SD card for data transfer are optional accessories.

Questions about testo 176 T1 - Temperature data logger

What is this article?

testo 176 T1 - Temperature data logger is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Testo for laboratory use. It sits in Data loggers, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.

A data logger stores a temperature, a humidity or another signal over time, so a shipment or a room has a record rather than a spot reading. The interval, the memory and the sensor range are the specification. A logger that is full has stopped being a record.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
