Description
STIRRING DRYBATH 8-250 ERL is a combined stirring and heating block system with eight bores optimised for 250 ml Erlenmeyer flasks. Each bore measures 87,2 mm in diameter and 78 mm in depth, with 100 mm centre spacing, supporting stirring volumes from 1 to 250 ml per position. Wear-free inductive 2mag magnetic drive provides fully synchronous stirring from 100 to 2,000 rpm, with SoftStart for reliable bar capture and smooth acceleration, plus a 10-step power setting for viscous media or reduced-power continuous duty. The one-piece aluminium-alloy heating block is PTFE-coated for chemical resistance and easier cleaning, with integrated electric heating from +40 to +200 °C and PowerDetect compensation for stirring-power losses at elevated temperature. A specially insulated stainless-steel frame promotes even heat distribution and touch protection, with independent overtemperature safety. Control is via a separate stainless-steel unit protecting electronics from aggressive vapours and heat. Including eight contact sleeves for improved heat transfer, this unit from manufacturer 2mag is built for parallel heated stirring of Erlenmeyer samples under laboratory conditions (230 V, IP20).

Questions about 2mag - STIRRING DRYBATH 8-250 ERL Multiple heating stirring block for 8x 250 ml
What is this article?
2mag - STIRRING DRYBATH 8-250 ERL Multiple heating stirring block for 8x 250 ml is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes 2mag for laboratory use. It sits in Erlenmeyer flasks, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.
An Erlenmeyer, or conical, flask has a flat base and a narrowing wall so a liquid can be swirled. It is the ordinary culture and titration flask. A baffled wall is a different article, used when the swirl must turn the liquid over.
A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
