Description

Digital microscope set OBN 142C861 pairs the OBN 142 fluorescence microscope with a matched camera and C-mount adapter as a ready-to-use digital solution. The trinocular stand offers high-quality optics, a robust design, 3 W LED transmitted light and 5 W LED epi-fluorescence incident illumination for clear fluorescence imaging. Professional Köhler illumination with adjustable field diaphragm and a centrable, height-adjustable 1,25 Abbe condenser with regulable aperture diaphragm support controlled illumination. A large mechanical stage with bilateral coaxial coarse and fine drives allows rapid, precise focusing. The filter wheel holds up to six filters and comes standard with B/G/UV/V fluorescence sets. The included ODC 861 camera uses Peltier cooling tailored to fluorescence, reducing noise under low light, and a light-sensitive Sony CMOS colour sensor for high-resolution images. Real-time output runs via USB 3.0 to a PC or laptop; two USB 2.0 ports support the supplied VIS Pro OXM 902 software, with external 12 V power and black balance capability. A protective storage box is included. This complete set from manufacturer Kern is intended for fluorescence documentation and analysis. Pack size is 1 pc.

This article is part of Digital & USB microscopes, in Microscopy & histology.

Questions about Digital Microscope Set KERN OBN 142C861

What is this article?

Digital Microscope Set KERN OBN 142C861 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Kern for laboratory use. It sits in Digital & USB microscopes, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A digital or USB microscope is a camera with optics, useful for inspection and for a quick shared image. It does not replace a compound microscope when the method needs a stated numerical aperture and a fluorescence filter. Magnification claims on these are often a screen magnification, not an optical one.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
