Description
PILZ® -Protect-Line- LP2TC housing heating mantle with integrated type K temperature sensor is designed for 100 ml round-bottom flasks (Ø 64 mm). Rated operation is 230 VAC at 90 W, with a maximum permissible operating temperature of 450 °C. A hand-crocheted glass-silk heating element in protection class I is enclosed in a powder-coated, robust metal housing offering high chemical resistance. Permanent warning labels carry volume marking. The two-part construction includes a liquid-tight upper section, and every switch is executed as a safety switch to reduce the risk of unintended actuation. Standard equipment covers a main on/off switch, the integrated type K temperature sensor, a heating-zone switch with integrated “Heating” status lamp for heating zone 1, a detachable plug connection (cable length 0,50 m), and a personnel-protection plug with residual-current function together with a Schuko type E/F cable (cable length 1,00 m). Single-zone control suits straightforward flask heating workflows. Supplied from manufacturer Winkler, the mantle has a net weight of 2 kg, gross weight 2,14 kg, width 160 mm and height 185 mm for compact bench use with 100 ml round flasks.

Questions about Heating mantle metal-cased PILZ® -Protect-Line- LP2TC with sensor 100ml 2
What is this article?
Heating mantle metal-cased PILZ® -Protect-Line- LP2TC with sensor 100ml 2 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Winkler for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
