Description

HistoBond® microscope slides are adhesive-coated glass slides designed for reliable attachment of tissue sections in histology and pathology. Made from soda-lime glass of the third hydrolytic class, each slide measures approximately 76 × 26 mm to DIN ISO 8037/1 and has a thickness of about 1 mm. Edges are ground at 90°, corners are ground and bevelled at 45°, and a 20 mm frosted marking area is present on both sides for clear labelling. The adhesive surface promotes secure adhesion of tissue sections throughout staining and processing. These slides from manufacturer Marienfeld are intended for applications under EU Regulation 2017/746 for in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR), carry the CE mark, and are supplied with recommended expiry date and batch number for full traceability. They are packed 50 pieces per cardboard box, with 50 boxes per carton, giving a total pack unit of 2500 slides ready for routine laboratory use in diagnostic and research histology workflows.

Questions about Microscope slides HistoBond®, 50/box, Package: 2500 pcs

What is this article?

Microscope slides HistoBond®, 50/box, Package: 2500 pcs is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
